ABOUT US

Tigers for Tigers is dedicated to preserving tigers through education, research, and service learning on local and global levels. Auburn Tigers for Tigers was officially founded in 2014, but the Tigers for Tigers organization has been going on in other tiger mascot schools since 1997. We are here to increase awareness and interest, a tiger is a unifying symbol here at Auburn. We want to extend our efforts to save them in the wild.

Big cats are known to be ferocious, fierce, and wild. That could not be more untrue for Auburn University’s well-known cat, Aubie. One character can lead a whole university to unity and togetherness. As a tigers for tigers member, that same picture is trying to be recognized to allow colleges to come together to save tigers in the wild; we all are tigers, and take great pride in it, but without the tiger where would we be?

What about the tigers? Aubie is just one. But he has impacted so many lives by being just one. Auburn is not the only tiger school out there, what about all of those tigers? We call ourselves tigers, but do we really know what that means? Yes, a tiger is ferocious and wild, but a tiger is also strong. A tiger is majestic. A tiger is fearless. That’s why we are the Auburn Tigers. That’s why we are the Tiger Coalition. It’s now our turn to inspire and impact as tigers, to save the real ones. For they are the ones who made their name great. It’s time to live up to their name.
